SDI C stands for Strategic Defense Initiative Countermeasures and refers to a program initiated by the United States in the 1980s.
The SDI C was a defensive measure proposed by the U.S. government during the Cold War era, aimed at developing technologies capable of protecting the country against potential nuclear missile attacks. The program aimed to deter and render ineffective any possible missile aggression by intercepting and destroying incoming ballistic missiles.
The Countermeasure component of the program emphasized the development of advanced technologies and systems to counter and neutralize the threat posed by nuclear weapons. The SDI C attempted to counter the vulnerabilities of the U.S. defense system by focusing on research and development in areas such as space-based missile defense systems, advanced sensors, and high-powered lasers.
