Reggie Lewis was an American professional basketball player who was born on November 21, 1965, and passed away on July 27, 1993. He played his entire NBA career as a shooting guard and small forward for the Boston Celtics.
Lewis was known for his athleticism, scoring ability, and versatility on the court. Standing at 6 feet 7 inches tall, he possessed excellent speed and agility, making him a threat both in the open court and in half-court sets. His scoring repertoire included an impressive mid-range jumper, a solid three-point shot, and the ability to drive to the basket.
In his seven-year NBA career, all with the Celtics, Lewis averaged 17.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. He was an extremely important player for the Celtics, often leading the team in scoring and contributing significantly to their success in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Tragically, Lewis's career was cut short by his sudden death at the age of 27 due to a heart condition.
